This was a short project designed to challenge. The idea was to make a fashion garment out of paper, it could be anything from a dress to a hat as long as it could be worn on the body. My one, as you can see, is a bodice. I started by doing paper maché on a mannequin to create a hard body shell, then scrunched paper into loose balls and glued them on, this gave a textured feel. To get the colour I used black spray paint and because of the uneven surface it gave a interesting speckled look. I decided to take the photographs in these locations as the garment lends itself to quite a broken and a sort of 'wall' textured place, the sunlight in most was like the bodice itself highlighting the light areas and darkening the dark areas.

BONE
This project, entitled Bone, was an experimental Haute Couture outfit. The top is a paper-mache style bodice, eyelet's down the side threaded together with chunky black string. The shirt is thick calico, stiffened.
The main feature of this piece is the 'print', these are real photographs of real bones, all of which are uniquely experimented on (stitched, drawn, etched, bleached, cut, mosaic, painted).
